"Green Eggs and Ham" is a funny story about Sam-I-Am trying to convince his friend to try green eggs and ham. I would use this in first or second grade as a mentor text for persuasive or opinion writing. I would have the students decide weather they would eat green eggs and ham or not and either persuade their audience to do the same or just state their opinion.
